Hutton-in-the-Forest

Visit the home of Lord and Lady Inglewood at Hutton-in-the-Forest and hear the tales that accompany 400 years of family history.

Take a walk through a romantic house that leads you from a medieval Pele Tower to fine examples of the arts and crafts movement, taking in a rare northern Long Gallery and a beautifully carved cupid staircase. Discover how each generation has added to the house, shaping it into what you see today.

Sit and enjoy the atmosphere of the walled garden with its topiary terraces and dramatic planting or search out the wildflower meadow and cascading ponds.

Visit the 17th century cloisters tea room and treat yourself to a Cumbrian afternoon tea and other local treats.
